DWELLING FIRE ON MELVIN COURT

Wednesday, March 26, 2014  At 20:19 Stations 98 along with E30, L30 and R0 were dispatched to 326 Melvin Court North for a reported dwelling fire.  Deputy 98 arrived reporting a two story middle of the row with a fire on the second floor.  E98, E30 & L30 arrived together making a quick knock of the fire and checking for extension.  SS10 & R0 also assisted and R31 was the RIT team.  The fire appears to have started due to a malfunctioning washing machine and extended throughout the second floor.  Deputy 98 had Morrisville Command and the fire was placed under control in 20 minutes.  Photo courtesy of Morrisville Town Watch.


   


 

FIRE SHOWING ON BOWLING GREEN

Wednesday, February 26, 2014  At 16:30 Station 98, E30, E32, & L0 were dispatched to the 98-50 local for a reported dwelling fire at 17 Bowling Green Ave.  E98 arrived quickly after dispatch reporting a two story single family dwelling with heavy fire on the second floor.  The crew from E98 stretched a line a made a quick knock of the fire while crews from R98, E32 and E30 assisted opening up and pulling ceilings.  Crews from L0, SS10 and R31 assisted with overhaul.  The fire was placed under control at 17:04.  C30 had Morrisville Command and Station 98 was available at 18:30.


     



 

RESCUE RUNS RIT TO LEVITTOWN

Sunday, February 16, 2014  At 04:28 Stations 32, 31, 33, & 10 were dispatched to 34 Pensive Lane in the Pinewood Section of Levittown for a dwelling fire.  C10 was first to arrive with a single story dwelling with fire showing.  Levittown command requested R98 respond as RIT.  Crews worked for about 30 minutes to get the fire under control.  D32 had Pensive Command and R98 was available at 06:00.  Photo credit to Scott Gilmore.

     



 

AUTO FIRE ON PHILADELPHIA AVE

Tuesday, February 4, 2014  At 01:20 E98 was dispatched with Station 30 for an automobile fire at the old Solkatronics chemical plant at 351 West Philadelphia Ave.  Police arrived to find a BMW coupe fully involved.  E98 and R30 arrived and extinguished.  Station 98 was available at 01:55.


     



 

ENGINE RUNS HOUSE FIRE WHILE COVERING TRENTON

Thursday, January 30, 2014  At 10:30 E98 was dispatched to cover E3 in the city of Trenton.  Trenton had two multi alarm fires going when the the cover assignment was dispatched.  E98 covered E3 til 11:30 when they were alerted to respond to a house fire on Monmouth Street.  E98 arrived second due to a large 3 story twin dwelling with smoke and fire showing.  E98 laid out from Trenton E7 and the crew operated a hand line on the interior before being evacuated by command.  E98 operated at the house fire for over 5 hours assisting with extinguishing and overhaul.   E98 was available and returned to Morrisville at 17:00.


     



 

BASEMENT FIRE ON NORTH DELMORR

Friday, January 24, 2014  At 11:30am Morrisville Fire Company along with E30, E32 and L0 were dispatched to 115 North Delmorr Ave. for a dwelling fire.  M139 arrived with a two story dwelling with smoke showing and a fire in the basement.  Many attempts were made to extinguish the fire but E98 arrived shortly after dispatch and made a quick knock down.  E30 assisted with ventilation and overhaul.  The fire was placed under control at 11:41am.  E32 and R31 were also on scene for assistance and FM246 is investigating. 



   


 

ACCIDENT ON RIVER ROAD

Monday, January 6, 2014  At 10:07 this morning Station 98 was alerted to 567 River Road in the 98-40 local for a 2 vehicle accident with wires down.  Upon arrival the engine crew found two SUV's off the roadway with a pole that was removed from the ground on impact.  The engine secured the vehicles and assisted with patients.  42pd awaited PECO and Engine 98 was available at 10:29.


     



 

DWELLING FIRE ON CAROLINA AVE

Sunday, January 5, 2014  At 11:26 Stations 98, 30 and Rescue 0 were dispatched to tactical box 98-30 at 22 Carolina Ave.  Upon arrival E98 reported fire showing side A.  Crews from E98 and L30 quickly worked to begin extinguishing the fire and ventilating.  R98 and E30 arrived and assisted with a back up line and overhaul.  SS10 and R31 opened the roof.  R0 and Medic 139 were also on scene for assistance and R32 was RIT.  Fire was placed under control at 11:51.  The cause of the fire appears to be a malfunction of exterior holiday lights.  Station 98 was available at 13:15.


     



 

KEYSTONE AVE DWELLING FIRE

Wednesday, November 13, 2013   At 17:21 Station 98, E30, E32, and L0 were dispatched to 25 Keystone Ave. just off West Bridge St. for a chimney fire. C98 arrived reporting smoke showing and a working fire in the attic. R98 arrived shortly after and made a quick knock down of the fire.  Other crews assisted checking for extension and overhaul. C98 had Morrisville command. The fire was placed under control at 17:35 and Station 98 was available at 18:33. 

     



 

ENGINE IS COMPLETE

Tuesday, November 12, 2013  The new engine 98 is complete. Members were in Appleton Wisconsin this week to do final inspection of the 2014 Pierce Arrow XT. The truck should be home in a few weeks and will be put in service shortly after.
