Morrisville Fire Company is located in Bucks County, PA just north of Philadelphia and directly across the Delaware River from Trenton, NJ. The company protects a five square mile area with a population of approximately 15,000 people. The company membership is made up of all volunteer’s who help protect Morrisville and surrounding areas 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. We operate out of a single station with two Engines, one Ladder, one Fire-Rescue, one Utility, and one Marine Rescue Unit. Morrisville Fire Company answers approximately 375 calls annually from structure fires and auto accidents to fire alarms systems and assisting surrounding fire companies.


RESCUE BOX AT PHILADELPHIA AND WASHINGTON

At 09:33 Station 98 along with E-30, and R-0 were dispatched for an accident with entrapment on Philadelphia Ave in front of the old station 39.  C-98 arrived reported a t-bone accident with one entrapped.  Rescue 98 arrived opened the door and assisted EMS.  Station 98 was available at 09:55.


 
   
   
GRACE DRIVE DWELLING FIRE

At 12:05 Stations 30, 31, 32, 33 & 98 were dispatched to 5082 Grace Drive for a reported dwelling fire.  Chief 30 arrived reported a single wide trailer with smoke & fire showing.  Crews had the fire under control in about 15 minutes.  Chief 30 had falls command and E-98-1 was available at 12:50.


 
   
   
TRUCK ON ITS SIDE

At 10:05 Station 30, R-98, R-31, and E-32 were dispatched for a possible auto extrication at the one ramp from route 1 to route 13.  C-30 arrived reporting a tractor trailer on its side with the driver entrapped.  Crew worked for 15 minutes to free the patient.  R-98 was available at 10:40. 


 
   
   
NEW RESCUE 98
   
Station 98 ordered a 2009 Pierce Velocity PUC rescue pumper in December of 2008.  The truck has just recently started construction and we are expecting delivery in mid September.

FIRE SHOWING ON MARK DRIVE

At 21:30 Station 30, R-98, E-32, E-31, and L-0 were dispatch for a possible dwelling fire at 112 Mark Drive.  DC-30 arrived reporting two story split level dwelling with fire showing on side C.  Crews made quick work of the fire and DC-30 had Falls Command.  Rescue 98 was available at 23:50.


 
   
   
TWO FIRES IN SIX HOURS ON CANAL ROAD

On 8/5/09 at 20:30 Station 30 was dispatch for a fire alarm at Future Foam located at 259 Canal Road.  DC-30 arrived reported smoke showing and upgraded to assignment to a building fire bringing crews from 98, 13, 31, 32, and 33.  Crews quickly handled a fire in a hopper and some duct work.  Station 98 was available at 22:00.

On 8/6/09 at 02:30 Station 30, E-98, L-31, E-32, SQ-13 and R-32 were dispatched back to the same address for a building fire.  DC-30 arrived once again with smoke showing and a working fire in a different area of the building.  Crews operated for 4 hours and were available at 06:30.  DC-30 Had Falls Command at both incidents.


 
HAZ-MAT AT GAMESA

At 12:15 Station 30, R-98, E-32, E-33, and M-139 were dispatch for a possible Haz-mat situation at the Gamesa windmill plant in USX.  DC-30 arrived confirming a reaction in a drum at the rear of the building.  A haz-mat task force from Trenton handled the reaction as other companies assisted with decon.  The incident was under control at 14:30 and DC-30 had Falls Command.


 
TREE VS. CAR ON ALDEN AVE

At 15:00 Station 30, R-98, and R-32 were dispatch for a auto extrication on Alden Ave.  E-30 arrived first reporting one patient entrapped after a large tree had falling on a moving car.  Crews cribbed the tree and removed the occupant within 20 minutes.  DC-30 had command and R-98 was available at 15:45.


 
   
   
LADDER RUNS MOTEL FIRE IN FALLS

At 03:29 Ladder 98 was dispatch with Stations 30, 31, 32 and 0 for a possible fire at the Country House Motel on Lincoln Highway.  DC-30 arrived reporting fire showing with 2 units involved.  Crews worked quickly to extinguish and the fire was under control within 15 minutes.  Chief 30 had Falls Command and Ladder 98 was available at 05:12.


 
FIRE SHOWING ON PENNSYLVANIA AVE

At 05:53 Stations 98 and 30 were dispatched for a reported dwelling fire at 804 South Pennsylvania Ave.  Chief 98 arrived at 05:55 reported a 2 story dwelling with fire showing on the second floor sides alpha and delta.  Chief 98 had Morrisville command and the fire was placed under control at 06:14.  Stations 0, 10, 31, & 32 assisted.


 
   
   
ONE RESCUED FROM APARTMENT FIRE

At 22:04 Stations 98, 30, 0, & 32 were dispatched to box 98-60 for a apartment fire with possible entrapment at 473 McKinley Ave.  C-98 arrived at 22:06 reporting smoke showing and one person trapped on the second floor.  The unconscious victim was removed while the crew from E-98-1 quickly handled fire suppression and L-30's crew ventilated.  L-98, R-98, E-30, R-0 assisted and R-32 had RIT.  The incident was placed under control at 22:25 and C-30 had Morrisville Command.  The victim was flown to Temple University with smoke inhalation and burns.


 
   
   
PENNSYLVANIA & PALMER RESCUE BOX

At 10:00 Rescue Box 98-20 was transmitted for an auto extrication at the intersection of North Pennsylvania Ave. & Palmer Street.  C-98 arrived first reporting a SUV on its side with one patient trapped.  Rescue 98 and Engine 30 worked and had the patient removed within 15 minutes.  Rescue 0 and Engine 32 assisted, Station 98 was available at 10:50.


 
CAR FIRE AT 7-11
   
Tuesday, June 2, 2009

At 23:15 Engine 98-1 was dispatched with Station 30 for a care fire at 7-11 on West Trenton Ave.  Engine 98-1 and Engine 30's crews extinguished a engine compartment fire on a Chevy Malibu.  Crews were available within 25 minutes.

At 15:30 Stations 98, 30, 32, & 31 were dispatched to northbound route 1 south of Pennsylvania ave. for an auto extrication.  DC-30 was first to arrive reporting two entrapped.  Crews worked for 20 minutes free the trapped occupants.  Rescue 98 & Engine 98-1 were available at 17:00.


 
HOUSE FIRE ON WILK DRIVE
   
Thursday, February 5, 2009

At 08:30 Stations 98, 30, 0, & 32 were dispatched for tactical box 98-30 at 574 Wilk Drive for a chimney fire.  FM-246 arrived first reporting a 2 story dwelling with fire on side C.  Crews made quick work of the fire and had the incident under control in 20 minutes.  Station 98 was available at 10:15 and AC-30 had Wilk Command.
