Morrisville Fire Company is located in Bucks County, PA just north of Philadelphia and directly across the Delaware River from Trenton, NJ. The company protects a five square mile area with a population of approximately 15,000 people. The company membership is made up of all volunteer’s who help protect Morrisville and surrounding areas 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. We operate out of a single station with two Engines, one Ladder, one Fire-Rescue, one Utility, and one Marine Rescue Unit. Morrisville Fire Company answers approximately 375 calls annually from structure fires and auto accidents to fire alarms systems and assisting surrounding fire companies.


SANTA IS COMING TO TOWN!!!
   
Morrisville Fire Company will be escorting Santa around town on the fire trucks Saturday 12/22 & Sunday 12/23. Saturday the 22nd will start at 5pm and Santa will be visiting areas north of Trenton Ave. and south of Bridge Street. Sunday the 23rd Santa will start his trip at 5pm and will visit streets between Trenton Ave. and Bridge Street. Santa will have candy for the good little boys and girls. Happy Holidays!!!!


 
FIRST DUE DWELLING FIRE

At 16:57 Station 98 was dispatch along with R30 and E30 for a reported dwelling fire at 87 East Philadelphia Ave.  R30 arrived first reporting smoke showing from the second floor.  Crews from R30 and R98 quickly handled a bedroom fire.  E10, E32 and L0 assisted.  DC10 had Morrisville Command and the company was available at 18:14.


 
PIN JOB ON ROUTE 13

At 20:30 Stations 30 and E98 were dispatched for a fumes in the dwelling call in the 30-11 box.  En route to the call dispatch advised DC30 of an auto extrication being transmitted for Route 13 and Trenton Ave.  C98 and DC98 arrived shortly after to find a two vehicle head on crash on Route 13 between Route 1 and Trenton Ave.  Crews from R98 and R30 worked quickly to extricate on patient from an SUV on its roof.  0's and 32's handled hazards.  Station 98 was available at 21:30.


 
   
   
RESCUE AND SERVICE GO TO 10'S LOCAL FOR DWELLING FIRE

At 15:45 R98 and SS98 were dispatched with Station 10 for a dwelling fire on Kenwood Drive.  DC10 arrived reporting heavy fire showing from a two story dwelling.  The crews assisted with venting the roof and overhaul operations.  DC10 had command and 98's crews were available at 17:10.


 
   
   
APARTMENT FIRE WITH STATION 10

At 03:10 SS98 was dispatched with Station 10 for a apartment fire on Millcreek Road.  C13 was first to arrive and reported heavy smoke showing.  The crew from SS98 assisted with a search and ventilation.  C10 had command and SS98 was available at 05:20.  Thanks to Lorren Barrett for the photos.


 
   
   
ROW HOME FIRE ON WEST PHILADELPHIA AVE.

At 22:25 Station 98 was dispatch with E30 and R30 for wires burning inside a home on West Philadelphia Ave.  DC98 arrived reporting a fire in the common attic of a 14 home row.  Many crews operated for hours and the fire reached a total of four alarms.  Station 98 was available at 02:30 on 2/26/12.


 
   
   
AUTO EXTRICATION ON ROUTE 1 BRIDGE

At 11:08 Station 98 was dispatched to northbound route 1 at the Delaware River for an auto extrication.  C98 arrived first reporting a 5 vehicle accident on the bridge with one subject trapped under his vehicle.  R98 & E98 arrived shortly after and worked quickly to get the victim from under the pick up truck.  The victim was extricated within 5 minutes and turned over to EMS.  R30, R31 and E32 assisted, Station 98 was available at 12:00.


 
   
   
NEW MEMBERS WELCOME
Morrisville Fire Company's doors are always open to new members.  To be eligible to become a member, except for Junior Membership, you must be:

  • At least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Reside in Morrisville Fire Company’s FIRST DUE AREA.
  • Submit an application fee of $25.00 for your 1st year’s dues.
  • Submit a Background Investigation fee of $20.00.
  • Undergo a physical examination
Considering you meet the above requirements, your application will be turned over to the Membership Committee for a one-month investigation period. During this period you will be called in for an interview at the Committees earliest convenience. The Committee will then report its findings to the Fire Company at the Company meeting following the one-month investigation period and vote on your pending membership. In order to become a member, you must receive a two-thirds vote of members present at this meeting. In the event of a rejection, the $25.00 application fee will be returned to you. However, the $20.00 Background Investigation fee WILL NOT.

The application process for Junior Membership will be conducted in the same manner as above except you must:

  • Between the ages of sixteen (16) and eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Reside in Morrisville Fire Company’s FIRST DUE AREA.
  • Application shall be approved by signature of a parent or legal guardian and be notarized.
  • Appear before the Membership Committee accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and
    must present valid working papers at that time.
  • The application fee and Background Investigation fee will be waived.

CAR FIRE ON ELM AVE

At 05:19 Station 98 was dispatched for a automobile fire at the intersection of Elm Ave and Maplewood Lane in the 98-41 box.  C98 arrived first reporting one SUV fully involved.  R98 arrived shortly after and quickly extinguished.  Station 98 was available at 05:35.


 
   
   
VEHICLE INTO BUILDING AT CVS

At 13:30 Station 98 was dispatched along with R30 for a vehicle into the CVS pharmacy on West Trenton Ave.  C98 arrived reporting a vehicle up against a support beam for the front of the building.  The victim was treated on scene by medic 139 and FM242 confirmed no structural damage of the building.  Station 98 was available at 14:30.


 
   
   
ACCIDENT IN THE OCTOBER SNOW

At 16:35 R98 was dispatched with Medic 139 for an auto accident with injuries on Pine Grove Rd. DC98 arrived first reporting a two vehicle head on accident with both drivers injuried. An additional Medic unit was added for the second patient. R98's crew assisted both Medics with patient care. Station 98 was available at 17:10.


 
   
   
BASEMENT JOB IN YARDLEY

At 16:41 E98 was dispatched with Stations 0 & 80 for a possible dwelling fire at 140 Windsor Rd in the 0-1 box.  L0 arrived first reporting a two story dwelling with smoke showing.  C98 & DC98 assisted the crew of L0 with the initial hand line and located a fire in the basement.  The crew made a quick knock of the fire as R0 & R98's crews opened up.  The fire was under control at 16:55 and R98 returned at 17:25.  C0 had Yardley Command.

After a few days of heavy rain and previous ground saturation from Hurricane Irene the canal and Delaware River were threatening to flood some of the lower areas of Morrisville.  So E98 along with E30, E10, and the old E39-1(owned by a station 10 member) helped the borough road crew pump out water in the area of East Maple Ave & Delmorr Ave.  Crews spent about 7 hours drafting.  Thanks much to the guys from 30's and 10's for the assistance.


 
   
   
DOOR POP AT THE TOLL BOOTH

At 07:10 Station 98 along with R30 were dispatched to SB Route 1 in the area of the Morrisville Toll Bridge.  C98 was first to arrive reporting a box truck rear ending by a sedan with one subject trapped.  R98 arrived shortly after and popped the door of the sedan to free subject.  R30 & E98 handled fire suppression.  Station 98 was available at 07:35.


 
L98 & R98 GO TO APARTMENT FIRE AT ROCK SPRINGS

At 08:09 L98 & R98 were dispatched with Station 30 for a possible apartment fire at Rock Spring Apartments on West Trenton Ave.  C30 was first to arrive reporting a 2 story apartment bu idling with smoke showing.  E30 arrived and stretched a line while L98 laddered the bu idling and put the main to the roof.  The fire was quickly knocked and placed under control at 20:25.  C30 had Falls Command and Station 98 was available at 22:09.  Thanks to Jeff Goldberg for the pictures.
